One-Pan Spaghetti

  1/2 lb leanest ground beef (10% fat) 
  2 cups water 
  2 cup spaghetti sauce (meatless, low sodium) 
  1/2 cup chopped onion 
  1/4 cup chopped
  green pepper 
  1/2 tsp chili powder 
  1 tsp chopped garlic 
  1 tsp oregano
  5 oz spaghetti 
  2 tbs grated Parmesan cheese

In a large skillet, combine ground beef, water, spaghetti sauce, onion, green pepper, chili powder, garlic and oregano. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir often. Add the spaghetti; simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir often. Serve with Parmesan cheese.


Yield: 6 Servings
