2 lb Rib steak
1 1/2 lb Onions
1/2 lb Mushrooms
1 x Seasoned flour
10 fl Guinness or other stout
10 fl Stock or water
1 x Pinch of nutmeg
1 x Salt and pepper
1 x Fat for fryingCut meat into fairly large chunks and roll in seasoned flour. Brown in hot fat and remove from pot. Chop onions roughly and fry gently for 2-3 minutes. Return meat to pot. Add all other ingredients. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
