Old-Fashioned Lemon Sauce

    1/2 c  Butter
      1 c  Sugar
    1/4 c  Water
      1    Egg well beaten
      3 tb Lemon juice (1 lemon)
           Grated rind of 1 lemon

Combine in saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture comes to a boil.
